Errata
Public changelog for substantial corrections to the Panta Rhei 2nd Edition books, verification surfaces, registry entries, and associated publications.
Purpose
This page records substantial corrections to the published 2nd Edition of the Panta Rhei monograph series and its public companion surfaces. A correction appears here when it changes a registered theorem, a definition used downstream, a registry object, a citation target, or a public verification claim.
Purely typographical fixes are intentionally excluded from this page. The purpose is not to make ordinary copy-editing visible; it is to keep the public mathematical and verification record citeable.
Issued Errata
ERRATUM-001 — Book I, Chapter 27; Definition I.D19a; Theorem I.T05
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Issued | 2026-04-20 |
| Status | active |
| Severity | High |
| Change class | C7 |
| Registry anchors | I.D19a, I.T05 |
Corrects the published prime-polarity definition. The original growth-comparison clauses do not partition the primes; the corrected classifier uses the Legendre symbol (2/p), aligning Book I with the Book III bipolar classifier.
Correction. Replace Definition I.D19a and the proof of I.T05 with the Legendre-symbol polarity definition and the corresponding partition theorem. Treat the former growth-rate discussion as heuristic motivation, not as the theorem’s classifier.
ERRATUM-002 — Book III, Chapter 18; Definition III.D23; Theorem III.T13
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Issued | 2026-04-20 |
| Status | active |
| Severity | Medium |
| Change class | C7 |
| Registry anchors | III.D23, III.T13 |
Corrects the Jacobi-symbol convention used in the internal bipolar classifier derivation. Under the classical Jacobi convention, zero factors do not reduce to a single Legendre factor.
Correction. Introduce an explicit spectral Legendre convention for the CRT-local readout. The classifier and label-convergence conclusion remain unchanged; the derivation is reformulated.
ERRATUM-003 — Book I, Chapter 24; Theorem I.T04
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Issued | 2026-04-20 |
| Status | active |
| Severity | Medium |
| Change class | C7 |
| Registry anchors | I.T04 |
Tightens the Hyperfactorization Theorem statement. Conditions (i)-(iii) alone do not uniquely specify the ABCD tuple; maximal tetration height must be part of the admissibility condition.
Correction. Add the maximality clause already used by the greedy-peel construction and uniqueness proof. The theorem’s intended canonical decomposition remains unchanged.
ERRATUM-004 — Panta Rhei Conspectus v1.1 PDF; TauLib trust-budget disclosure
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Issued | 2026-04-22 |
| Status | active |
| Severity | Medium |
| Change class | C8 |
Corrects the Conspectus PDF’s pre-refactor TauLib trust-budget language. The downloadable v1.1 PDF still describes the interim peer-review state; the pinned public TauLib release has since landed the refactor.
Correction. Read the current trust budget as 3 custom axioms and 0 sorry at the pinned TauLib release, with the former Book VII methodological markers represented as inspectable Commitment definitions. The Release Manifest is authoritative for current machine-checkable counts.
ERRATUM-005 — Book V Chapters 41, 50, 51, 53, and 56; QNM and cycle-delay Results pages
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Issued | 2026-05-15 |
| Status | active |
| Severity | High |
| Change class | C7 |
| Registry anchors | V.T168, V.T169, V.T185, V.T223, V.D243, V.P131, V.R408 |
Corrects QNM and ringdown public language. The Kerr primary ringdown depends on remnant mass and spin; the tau prediction is the leading-order T² ratio f_(0,1)/f_(1,0)=ιτ^-1. The former echo/no-echo language is split into two categories: no exotic reflective-surface ECO echoes, but released T² cycle-delay/ringdown observables remain as topology-readout candidates. It also repairs generated-page contamination on QNM and cycle-delay prediction/falsification pages.
Correction. Update Book V source text, TauLib comments/projection labels, Corpus registry/results data, and public pages so QNM ratio direction, cycle-delay ratio direction, and echo terminology are consistent. Remove CKM/Wolfenstein and proton-radius bleed-through from QNM and cycle-delay pages. Public status remains released-corrected, not hidden or validated.
Status Convention
- Active means the correction is citeable and should be used when reading or quoting the affected material.
- Superseded means a later erratum refines or replaces the correction while preserving the historical record.
- Applied means the correction has landed in a later print run, registry release, or verification artifact.
Citation Guidance
When citing affected material, cite the original book location and the relevant erratum ID together. Example: Book I, Theorem I.T05, as corrected by ERRATUM-001.
Projection Source
This page is rendered from Corpus governance metadata. The Publications repository mirrors generated errata snapshots for cloneable artifact provenance, but Corpus owns the semantic errata source.
