IV.T194 (Wave 37C) derives the Higgs quartic self-coupling λ_H = 0.12928 via the τ-coherence fixing potential, achieving +16 ppm agreement with the SM value 0.12926. This is the first τ-prediction of the Higgs self-coupling — the parameter that determines the shape of the Higgs potential. Combined with the Higgs mass prediction (IV.T166, +8.0 ppm), this completes the description of the Higgs sector: both the mass (from n=7) and the self-coupling (from coherence fixing) are derived simultaneously with sub-100 ppm precision.

The Higgs quartic self-coupling λ_H controls the shape of the Higgs potential V(φ) = –μ²φ² + λ_H φ⁴/4. In the Standard Model, λ_H = m_H²/(2v²) where v = 246 GeV is the Higgs VEV. With m_H = 125.20 GeV and v = 246.22 GeV, one obtains λ_H ≈ 0.12926. The self-coupling is physically significant: it determines the stability of the electroweak vacuum (the current best-fit value of λ_H is close to the critical value for metastability), the rate of Higgs pair production, and the self-energy of the Higgs.
IV.T194, derived in Wave 37C, uses the τ-coherence fixing potential framework to derive λ_H. The coherence fixing potential is the τ analogue of the Higgs mechanism: it is not an ad hoc potential introduced to break symmetry but a consequence of the ω-sector boundary conditions. The derivation gives λ_H = 0.12928 at +16 ppm from the SM value 0.12926.
Combined with IV.T166 (Higgs mass n=7 at +8.0 ppm), this completes the EW chain: Chain 2 in the Cross-Domain Analysis (ι_τ → W₃(4) → sin²θ_W → M_W → m_H → λ_H) is sub-100 ppm end-to-end. The Higgs self-coupling is experimentally targeted at HL-LHC (2029+) with approximately 50% sensitivity and at FCC-hh definitively. The prediction is testable on the 10–15 year timescale.
