Dignity (label-independence)

Dignity, in the τ-framework, is label-independence: a τ-categorical structural property where the moral worth of an entity does NOT depend on contingent labels (race, gender, role, capacity, status). Dignity is the structural invariant of the Commitment Register Reg_C under permutation of label-coordinates.

Categorical invariant. Dignity = {x : Reg_C(x) is invariant under all label-permutations σ}; equivalently, dignity is the categorical equalizer of all label-permutation actions on Reg_C.

Dignity is instantiated whenever moral status is recognized independently of contingent labels. Examples: human-rights doctrine (rights regardless of race/gender/nationality); animal-welfare ethics (worth regardless of species); end-of-life dignity (worth regardless of capacity).
