Chapter 16: Relational Primacy: Relations Precede Relata

Page 65 in the printed volume

The foundational ontological thesis of this series, restated for the metaphysical register. Relations and transformations constitute the basic vocabulary of reality; “objects” are stabilized patterns within a relational web. The Yoneda Lemma becomes an ontological principle: what an entity is reduces to how it relates to everything else. Category τ is not a mathematical convenience but the ontic substrate—the single structure from which all ontological content is derived. Historical precursors from Aristotle through Leibniz to Whitehead are acknowledged, and the decisive categorical sharpening is identified.
