Chapter 15: Circadian Rhythms: Poincaré Orbits on the Temporal Circle
Circadian rhythms are Poincaré orbits on the temporal circle of τ¹. The 24-hour cycle is modeled as a temporal lemniscate with two lobes (activity and rest), and the circadian clock is a limit cycle on the persistence sector’s temporal circle. Ultradian and infradian rhythms appear as harmonics and subharmonics of this fundamental temporal orbit.
