CS exponent s_q=-(β_q+1)/2: only top (s≈2, gap 0.07) and down (s≈-3, gap 0.04) map to near-integer evaluations. These are the two extremes of the quark spectrum. Confinement shifts β away from Epstein lattice integers. Confirms: Epstein gives unconfined spectrum (valid for leptons); quarks require κ(C;n) corrections.
