The principle of parsimony favors tau over string theory: string theory postulates six unobserved extra dimensions introducing 10^500 vacua, while Category tau postulates no extra dimensions and produces a unique vacuum. The 3+1 dimensions emerge as chart projections: three spatial from T^2 plus the profinite radial direction, one temporal from tau^1.
