The shrinking coherence horizon resembles the Big Crunch but is structurally different: no recollapse to infinite density/curvature occurs. Excisions grow but remain well-defined topological features, the boundary layer stays finite, and no infinite density is reached. The endstate is a pattern, not a singularity.
