V.R20 — Two metrics, one space

The base tau^1 carries two natural metrics -- an ultrametric encoding the hierarchical structure of the refinement tower (which levels share common coarse projections) and an additive time metric encoding physical temporal distance -- reflecting the dual roles of tau^1 as algebraic hierarchy and temporal substrate.
