V.R196 — Observational accessibility

The n=0 and n=1 subrings are blended in current EHT images; n=2 is suppressed by ~exp(-2pi) ~ 0.002. A space-VLBI mission with ~10-30 Earth-diameter baselines could resolve n=1 from direct emission and measure the Lyapunov exponent to distinguish T^2 from S^2.
