V.R183 — Gold and the r-process

Gold (Z=79) is an r-process element produced in neutron-rich ejecta of supernovae and neutron star mergers. In Category tau, each gold atom is a persistent defect bundle on T^2 whose (gamma, eta, omega)-charges were set by the nuclear physics of Book IV.
