V.R18 — Causality precedes light cones

In orthodox physics causality is defined by light-cone structure of a Lorentzian metric; in Category tau the causal ordering < is defined by the alpha-orbit before any metric is introduced. Light cones are a consequence of causal ordering plus photon structure, not a prerequisite.
