V.R178 — The mass gap

The lower mass gap between M_Ch ~ 1.4 M_sun and ~2.5 M_sun is not structural in the tau-framework: the transition from neutron star to black hole is smooth in EOS parameter space, consistent with LIGO-Virgo observations (GW190814) of objects in this range.
