V.R158 — Gaia and crystallization

Gaia and white dwarf crystallization: the Gaia-detected pile-up in the white dwarf luminosity function at the crystallization temperature (Tremblay et al. 2019) is consistent with the tau-inequality crossing at the mu = 0 boundary, where ions freeze and theta_lattice appears.
