V.R121 — The 99.99% that is noise

At late orbit depths, the defect contribution S_def/S is exponentially small: virtually all entropy measured by an orthodox thermometer is refinement entropy -- a label count, not a disorder count. The classical second law accurately describes a quantity that is almost entirely physical noise.
