V.D182 — Coherence horizon

The coherence horizon H_coh(n) at depth n is the diameter of the largest connected component of tau^3 minus the union of BH excision neighborhoods. As BHs grow and merge, excision neighborhoods expand and the coherence horizon shrinks, leaving a thin boundary layer between adjacent horizons.
