Algebraic skeleton (Book I) + geometric flesh (Book II) = geometric bi-square. Book I builds bottom-up (axioms -> algebra -> bi-square); Book II builds top-down (holomorphy -> continuity -> topology -> geometry). The two directions are compatible: geometric earning never contradicts algebraic structure.
