Sloterdijk’s Sph"aren trilogy distinguishes three scales of social topology: bubbles (intimate dyads), globes (communal institutions), and foams (modern plural coexistence). This chapter formalizes spheres as internal topoi with shared covers, embedding Sloterdijk’s sphereology in the categorical social ontology of the relevant chapter. Atmosphere — the pre-symbolic dimension of social life — appears as the phenomenological correlate of stabilized local coherence within a sphere.
