Chapter 87: Applied Ethics
Principles meet practice. This chapter applies the categorical ethical framework developed in Chapters – to three urgent domains: bioethics (beginning and end of life, genetic engineering, informed consent), environmental ethics (obligations to ecosystems, structural value, sustainability), and AI ethics (duties toward and concerning artificial systems). In each case, the four categorical tests — universalizability, respect, coherence, monodromy — together with the sheaf condition and the admissibility constraint L_dig yield principled guidance without importing ad hoc postulates.
