Chapter 53: The Cosmology Falsification Pack

Page 417 in the printed volume

A theory that cannot be falsified is not a physical theory. Category τ claims to derive cosmology from seven axioms on five generators. This chapter puts that claim on the line. We assemble a falsification pack: a collection of pre-registered predictions, organized by observational domain, each accompanied by its scope label, its precision estimate, and a clear statement of what observational result would constitute a falsification.

Seven domains are covered: the CMB power spectrum (§), baryon acoustic oscillations and Type Ia supernovae (§), growth of structure and weak lensing (§), Big Bang nucleosynthesis (§), gravitational wave standard sirens (§), galaxy rotation curves (§), and the falsification standard itself (§). This chapter is deliberately conservative: where a prediction is quantitatively uncertain, it says so; where a prediction depends on conjectural elements, it says so; where a definitive test requires future instrumentation, it says so. Honesty is the price of credibility.
