Chapter 19: Energy, Entropy, and the Arrow

Energy and entropy exist at the substrate level—before any particle appears. In τ³, energy is holomorphic tension: the coherence budget required to maintain CR-compatibility. Entropy measures holomorphic branching—how many distinct CR-compatible paths exist from one configuration to another. Together, they determine the arrow of time: entropy increases along the α-orbit because proto-time is structurally asymmetric.
